About the Role
We are looking for a Consumer Credit Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day operational activities associated with the wind-down of a credit card portfolio following the transfer of customer accounts.
This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in consumer lending, credit card operations, or banking operations, who is comfortable managing operational processes, customer investigations, and account administration, while also coordinating key activities related to the portfolio wind-down and decommissioning process.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operational activities associated with the credit card portfolio wind-down.
Act as a key point of contact for operational queries relating to transferred accounts.
Investigate customer enquiries, account discrepancies, and payment-related issues.
Support complaint handling and customer investigations.
Coordinate and track wind-down activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Monitor actions, dependencies, and outstanding items to ensure timely completion.
Support the execution of decommissioning and portfolio closure activities.
Maintain accurate operational records, documentation, and reporting.
Liaise with internal teams including Operations, Compliance, Customer Service, Finance, and Collections.
Ensure all activities are completed in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in Consumer Credit Operations, Credit Card Operations, Lending Operations, or a similar banking operations environment.
Strong understanding of consumer credit products and operational processes.
Experience handling customer investigations, complaints, account administration, or operational case management.
Ability to coordinate multiple activities and stakeholders in a structured and organised manner.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Fluent English.
Nice to Have
Experience supporting portfolio transfers, wind-down activities, migrations, or decommissioning initiatives.
Knowledge of collections processes and consumer credit regulations.
Experience with affordability complaints, remediation activities, or customer servicing.
Understanding of credit bureau reporting and account closure processes.
Previous experience within banking, financial services, or fintech environments.
